Professor Zhang Luyang, the Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of International Finance of Fudan University. He serves as the Director of the China Venture Capital Research Center and the Modern Corporate Governance Research Center at Fudan University. In 2000, he founded China's first specialized research institution dedicated to venture capital—the "China Venture Capital Research Center of Fudan University". He also performed as an expert member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) for three consecutive terms; Currently he holds leadership positions in multiple academic and industry associations such as: Vice President of the Modern Finance Society; Vice President of the China Venture Capital Association; Distinguished Expert of the China University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance (Ministry of Education); Vice President of the Fudan University Alumni Association; Executive President of the Fudan University Post-Doctoral Alumni Association. He also serves as a post-doctoral supervisor for leading financial institutions, including: Shanghai Pudong Development bank; Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE); Bank of Communications; Shenwan Hongyuan Securities; Guotai Junan Securities; Guangdong Yuecai Group; Suzhou Guofa Group; Yuanhe Venture Capital Group.
Professor Zhang Luyang has presided over more than 30 research projects, including: the National Social Science Fund projects and research topics on technological innovation and entrepreneurship, venture capital, and technology finance systems commissioned by government agencies such as the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Research projects on the innovative development of capital markets for the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE); Studies on venture capital solutions for provincial and municipal governments, including Shanghai, Chengdu, Guizhou Province, and Harbin; Commissioned research by venture capital institutions and technology enterprises. Professor Zhang Luyang has authored multiple influential monographs, including: Foundations of Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship、Introduction to Venture Capital; Limited Partnership System in U.S. Venture Capital; Research on Venture Capital Theory and Practice of Portfolio Investment; Research on Innovation and Exploration of China's Venture Capital; International Experience in Venture Capital Development; Research on Value-Added Services in Venture Capital: Theory and Practice、Research on Venture Capital Market Systems; Research on Multi-Level Capital Markets: Theory, International Experience, and Chinese Practice. Professor Zhang Luyang put forward the view that venture capital is a financial support system, founded the "venture capital theory of entrepreneurship-portfolio investment", innovated the "risk analysis method of entrepreneurship-portfolio investment", and invented 5 pieces of copyright software for related risk analysis.
Professor Zhang Luyang was commissioned as the Chairman of Fudan Fuhua Technology Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600624) by Fudan University during 2015-2917; He was one of the five principal drafters of the State Council's Opinions on Vigorously Promoting Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Guofa [2015] No. 32). Since 2016, he has been a guest mentor on CCTV Financial Channel's program We Are the Hero, and having recorded 28 episodes by now, where he provides professional insights on venture capital and entrepreneurial practices. In May 2022, his case study titled Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd.: December 2014 was officially recorded in the Harvard Business College Case Library, marking international recognition of his research on China's technology investment and innovation ecosystems.
